How To Install Headlights.  I show you the basics of Installing Headlights on your car.  The first modification I decided to do was just a simple upgrade to the stock head lights. I want something that I can see better with so I chose the some Xenon style headlight bulbs. These are rated at 55 watts but give a different type of light which allows for better seeing at night.

The Megan Racing Cat Back Exhaust was installed on our Project SE-R.  Money is very tight these days, so I looked around for a brand that can deliver high quality and performance while being on a budget.  This is one of the finest cat back systems for the money.  For under $380, you can get a complete cat back exhaust system with silencer.

Without the silencer you can gain more power and the noise gives a deep exhaust sound.  I noticed more power throughout every gear.

When the silencer is installed, it’s very quiet.  You can’t even tell you have the exhaust installed, but you still get the looks of a performance exhaust.

I can’t justify spending $400-600 on the same type of exhaust when you can buy the Megan Racing one for usually under $300.  It’s the exact same quality as the others and delivers a powerful punch once installed.

Here it is straight out of the box. Read More…

Tire Wearing Out

Tire Wearing Out

As tuners we are always messing around with our cars.  One of the first things we usually do is lower our cars to get better handling.  After lowering it we forget about it, but there is one thing I want to point out that’s going to save you money.  When you lower your car you need to get your alignment re-aligned for the new changes.  Sure you’ll do it later but then after a few months you’ll notice that your tires are starting to wear on the inside and then before you know it it’s time to buy new tires.

I did the same thing and after only 6,000 miles I had to buy two new tires.  Lets do the math.  Alignment cost around $75 bucks.  2 new good tires cost $300+ installation, etc.  So save yourself a bunch of money and just get your car aligned when you lower you car, it’s going to ride better and save you some duckets.

I’d say It was quite an adventure roaming the streets of the South Bay (San Jose, Fremont, Milpitas and Santa Clara), Ca.  Two of my old buddies came over and wanted to see some of this action they always hear about.  So we kick back playing some video games, and cruise the SRO message boards for a bit.  It’s 12 am and it’s time to cut out.  We pack my 2 buddies and my girlfriend in the car and were off.  First spot we decide should be Chevron in San Jose.

As we roll up there’s nobody there.  I decide we need gas so I slowly take my time getting gas as not to get kicked out for loitering.  After about two minutes hella heads roll up and park down a court just within walking distance.  Everyone gets out of their cars and starts talking, music blasting and some fools are speeding down the street “TRYING” to look cool.  It’s guys like these who can f#@k it up for the rest of us.  We walk around for a bit and recognize some friendly faces.  A cop comes and bust this truck who has no relation to any of us for making an illegal U.  Everyone scrambles like small guppies in a pond about to get stepped on.  It’s pretty much for no reason though, that cop didn’t look like he was after us.

As we get in the line, we notice some cool cars.  A little 510 and this Toyota Startlet packed with 4 heads as well.  That thing was moving pretty good.  Next spot, Ringwood.  Read More…

The first thing I noticed about the 91 SE-R was how stiff the suspension felt. My back wasn’t feeling too good after driving long distances. The stiffness was due to 2 things. One, the shocks are blown and need to be replaced, and Two, the seats are 13 years old and worn out. I decided to go with a brand I know I can trust when it comes to making seats, Recaro, and buy them from a place I can trust, Andy’s Auto Sport. I’ll admit, the price hurts, and it hurts bad. $600 a seat plus rails and sliders are another $135 a side. It’s an investment but after sitting in them, it feels like my shocks aren’t blown anymore. The Recaro SRD seats are great for the street and track. They hug very well, have a pump so you can pump up the lumbar support and also are a great show piece. People know your serious when they see Recaro.

1969 Datsun Roadster

1969 Datsun Roadster

I just wanted to showcase an old school car that kicks ass. Most of the kids these days just want something fast and new but I wanted to show everyone that Datsun made some killer cars in the 1960’s. This was my 1969 Datsun Roadster. It had a 2.0 Liter engine and a 5 speed transmission. You can see how long the hood Read More…

If you run those high wattage Japanese bulbs such as some PIAA 110 watt bulbs you run the risk of burning your wiring harness. I know from first hand experience. My low beams looked like highbeams and my highbeams were like HID’s. I noticed one side went out pretty quickly and when I looked this is what I saw.

As a kid I loved to make things out of wood. My wife had just went to the Philippines for a month and I was pretty bored. I decided to take the old 2×4’s I had laying in the garage and make a car simulator out of them. I already had a Logitech steering wheel and I decided to grab one of the rear seats out of my Rav4. They are made to come out so it just fit in perfect. As you can see this little project provided hours of fun!
