I think the worst sunburn I ever got was from working in the parking lot for about 2 hours while one huge run group went. Then I got my 90 seconds of fun and it was over. I love autocrosses but the SFR chapter is just too huge. Enjoy the pictures

When I lived in Tracy I made my way out to Stockton to see their autocrosses. They had a nice turn out of cars.

SCCA has a San Francisco Region that runs their events at the old Candlestick park parking lot. I personally hate that lot because there a lots of big bumps and dips and i’ve bottomed out my suspension there a few times. I guess the hardcore autocrossers don’t care or just know how to avoid them. Got a 170 High Resolution pictures for your viewing pleasures.

The Duel at Deanza College is the largest autocross i’ve ever been to. People camp out all night just to buy tickets at 6 am the next morning. With 300 cars running it’s crazy. You get 3-4 continous runs to show off your stuff to massive crowds and that’s it. The even is held once a year for the last 30+ years. This is in Cupertino, Ca.

I believe this was a nor-cal UFO event. (United Five Ten Owners). I took my little 93 Nissan Sentra out there and it had stock tires. It just squealed all over the place the whole time. I made my wife drive that event too. She had fun. This was back in 1999 so digital cameras were just coming out at the time. Resolution is pretty low.
