How To Install Headlights. I show you the basics of Installing Headlights on your celica.


Here is the stock header. It is that tubing that has 4 tubes that go into 1 big tube. This is called a 4 into 1 Header.


Here is just a quick top view. If you click on the picture for a larger pic you will see that the top of the header is held in place by 4 bolts. Also notice the color of the header. It changes color due to the extreme heat that it has to endure releasing hot exhaust gases from the eninge.


Here we went under the car and are looking at the bottom of the header. The celica header has the catalytic converter built right into it, so you probably won’t find a good header for this car.


After removing the four top bolts and the bottom two bolts you can remove the header. As you can see it’s removed here.


Here is that little monster now. This is considered pretty fatty by header standards.


This is the new header. This header was 100% custom made. I couldn’t believe it when i saw it. It looks store bought. The guy who works across from Joe owns a machine shop and races 1st gen RX-7’s. Joe said Bob pretty much just eyed his old Header and came up with this design.


After removing the header we had an unforseen obstacle. Their is a small flange (lip) that goes into the stock header. Here we are measuring with calipers the diameter of this flange.


Nothing is going to stop Joe from getting this baby in tonight. Here Joe is grinding out the new header to the desired diameter he needs.


It seems to fit now. Time to Tighten up the bolts. We didnt forget to use the gaskets.

Here it is installed in the car. It looks great and sounds nice too. Power is much increased!
